Event Details

The members of Alpha Gamma Eta Omega (AGHO), work closely with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison, Kori Rogers, along with the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, to ensure the ongoing success of the Weekend Backpack Program. The Weekend Backpack Program offers nutritious meals and snacks to children over the weekend at no cost.

This exciting collaboration unites community organizations to coordinate volunteer efforts. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, receiving, sorting, and distributing food packs. The schools and recipients have already been determined, and best practice guidelines are in place to assist volunteers each week.

Members of AGHO warmly invite the Orange County community to join them on Wednesdays from 12 PM to 3 PM for sorting and packing and Thursdays 9AM to 11AM for distribution. Volunteers are welcome at the Jack Seymour Pantry, located at the Old Sacred Heart School, 24 S. Robinson Avenue in Newburgh (entrance via the parking lot on Ann Street).
